Kate, I've been a longtime follower of your blog! You ought to know that by now =)
My only self-tanning tip is to NOT go to tanning booths. I made the unfortunate mistake in my youth of abusing the tanning salons (sometimes tanning up to twice a day for 20mins which is illegal in my state. You can only tan once a day under the 10 minute limit) I now much rather prefer to use those gradual-building self tanners. Much safer and healthier!

no tips from me other then ALWAYS exfoliate before self tanning :)
Following your jewelry blog too! (Rachel Stith)
My tanning tip is to keep it natural. Stay away from any products that leave an orangy finish! AND if you want to tan your face, stick to sunless tanners and bronzers with a brown hue rather than tanning in the sun! Also, always exfoliate before using any type of self tanner or body glow!

make sure to exfoliate and moisturise before putting on any tanning products.

I've been following on GFC for ages.. bummed that you don't blog as much anymore :(
Anyway, I don't have any "tanning" tips since I tan easily, but for the ladies that tan easily (but don't burn easily), it's a no brainer - even if you don't feel "da burn", you still have to slather on the SPF (I go w/ 50+) because you can still get sun damage. In fact, avoid sunlight for long durations if possible, but if you must tan, tan safely.. use SPF protection! :)
